When used with other diabetes medications, hypoglycemic symptoms may occur, so blood glucose levels should be carefully monitored. Patients who have had an allergic reaction to any of the ingredients in this medication or those with severely impaired liver function should not use it. Patients suffering from muscle diseases or prone to muscle-related side effects should also avoid this medication. Pregnant or nursing women, and those who may become pregnant should consult a doctor before using this medication. Patients with severely impaired kidney function, acute infections, or dehydration, and those with serious heart conditions should not use this medication. Before and after undergoing tests using iodinated contrast agents, the use of this medication should be temporarily suspended and resumed only after assessing kidney function. During treatment, irregular meals, intense exercise, and interactions with other medications can increase the risk of side effects; therefore, caution is advised. This medication may cause various side effects such as gastrointestinal disturbances, myalgia, and elevated liver enzymes, so report any unusual symptoms to healthcare professionals immediately. Regular monitoring of kidney function, liver function, and muscle status is necessary to safely use the medication. Excessive alcohol consumption should be avoided during treatment as it may increase the risk of lactic acidosis.
