This medication is used as a combination replacement therapy for patients who need to take both Metformin Hydrochloride and Rosuvastatin Calcium.

How to take

Adult dose

This medication is administered once daily with the evening meal for adults.

Precautions

This medication may rarely cause serious lactic acidosis, and if symptoms occur, you must inform your healthcare provider immediately. Caution is needed as hypoglycemic symptoms may occur when used with other diabetes treatments. This medication should not be used in patients with an allergy to its ingredients or severely impaired liver function. Patients with muscle disorders or those taking certain medications should avoid using this medication, and it should not be taken by pregnant or nursing women. Administration is also prohibited in patients with severely impaired kidney function, acute heart failure, or serious infections. Treatment should be temporarily discontinued before and after surgery or in severe illness. Patients with irregular meals or engaging in vigorous exercise, and those taking other medications that interact with this medication should use it with caution. This medication can affect liver function and muscles, so regular monitoring during treatment is necessary. If symptoms like muscle pain, weakness, or rash occur while taking the medication, consult your doctor immediately. Alcohol intake may increase the risk of side effects from this medication, so it should be avoided. Women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant should avoid taking this medication and should use appropriate contraception. Elderly patients may have reduced kidney function, so regular kidney function testing is necessary, and dose adjustment may be needed. This medication is not used in children and adolescents under 19 years of age as safety and efficacy have not been confirmed. In case of overdose, as there is no specific antidote, visit a hospital immediately for proper treatment and tests of kidney and liver function are required.
