Likael Cream (Lidocaine)

Adult dosage

Apply 0.25 to 0.66 grams (23 to 62 milligrams of lidocaine) as an ointment 5 to 15 minutes before intercourse. The dosage and duration of application should be individualized while using the minimum effective dose. Do not exceed 2 grams (184 milligrams of lidocaine) within a 24-hour period.

This medication is an amide-type local anesthetic and should not be used if the user or their partner is allergic to this medication or similar drugs. Additionally, do not apply the medication on areas with wounds or inflammation, and it is safer not to use it on partners who are pregnant. Patients with liver or kidney issues should exercise greater caution when using this medication as it contains propylene glycol, and use should be cautious for those allergic or hypersensitive to this component. If rashes or irritation occur on the skin while using the medication, it is important to discontinue use immediately and consult a physician if symptoms persist. Moreover, prolonged use beyond three months without a doctor's directive should be avoided. This medication is intended for external use only on the skin, hence it should not be applied to the eyes or nose, and continuous spraying on a single area for more than three seconds should also be avoided. When storing, keep it out of the reach of children and avoid high temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius, very low temperatures, or direct sunlight. After use, do not incinerate the medication but dispose of it properly.
