Precautions

This medication is a steroid cream that alleviates inflammation and allergic symptoms occurring on the skin. However, it should not be used by patients with skin infections caused by bacteria, fungi, viruses, or animals, as it may worsen the symptoms. Patients who have had allergies or hypersensitivity to any component of this medication should also avoid use. Patients with inflammation in the ears due to perforated tympanic membranes should be cautious when using this medication as it may delay healing. It is advisable to avoid use in patients with skin ulcers or severe burns, as it may interfere with skin regeneration. Patients with perioral dermatitis, common acne, rosacea, or itching around the anus or genitals should also avoid using this medication. It is not safe for infants under 2 years of age, so it should not be used. Caution should be exercised when using this medication in pregnant or nursing women, children, and elderly patients, especially those with allergies to propylene glycol. Skin infections may develop during the use of this medication, so if any signs of infection appear, it should be discontinued immediately, and appropriate treatment should be sought. Long-term use or use over large areas of skin may result in thinning of the skin, pigment changes, or side effects like acne, so caution is required. If steroids are absorbed into the body, it may suppress hormone function, therefore the dosage and duration should strictly follow the doctor's directions. When using around the eyes, caution is needed as it may increase intraocular pressure leading to glaucoma or cataracts. In cases of skin infections, it is best to use this medication with antibacterial or antifungal agents or to avoid use altogether. Once symptoms improve, it is advised to discontinue use as soon as possible, and if symptoms worsen, stop use immediately and consult a professional. Pregnant or nursing women should discuss with their doctor before using this medication as it may affect the fetus or baby. Children have a larger skin area relative to body weight, increasing the risk of side effects, hence should not use it for longer than 3 weeks. Elderly patients may show more side effects, requiring careful observation during use. This medication should not be used for ophthalmic purposes and should not be applied to the skin for purposes other than treatment, such as after applying makeup or shaving. When using occlusive dressings, it must be done according to the doctor's instructions and the affected area should be kept clean to reduce the risk of infection. It should be kept out of reach of children to prevent safety accidents.
