For adults, initiate treatment with 25mg of naftopidil once daily. If the effect is insufficient, gradually increase the dose to 50~75mg at intervals of 1~2 weeks, and administer orally once daily after meals. The dose may be adjusted according to symptoms; however, the maximum daily dose is 75mg.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients who have had allergic reactions to its components. Additionally, this medicine contains lactose and should not be administered to patients with genetic disorders that prevent the digestion of lactose. Care should be taken when using this medication in patients with impaired liver function, as this may raise blood concentration levels of the drug. There is insufficient experience with this medication in patients with severe heart or cerebrovascular issues, so it should be administered cautiously. Elderly patients may have decreased liver function, which can result in prolonged drug elimination from the body and increase the risk of side effects. Patients taking other medications that lower blood pressure need to be cautious when using this drug, as it may cause their blood pressure to drop too low. When taking this medication, it is important to be cautious of dizziness or lightheadedness that may occur when standing up suddenly. Possible side effects of this medication include dizziness, lightheadedness, low blood pressure, and stomach discomfort. If serious symptoms such as liver dysfunction or loss of consciousness occur, the medication should be stopped immediately and medical attention sought. Overdose may lead to excessively low blood pressure, so the prescribed dosage must be strictly followed. During treatment with this medication, care should be taken when engaging in activities such as driving or working at heights. Before taking this medication, it is important to check for the use of antihypertensive drugs, and if blood pressure becomes too low, adjustments such as reducing or discontinuing the medication may be necessary. This medication helps relieve symptoms; if it does not provide adequate relief, alternative treatment options should be considered. Co-administration of this drug with diuretics or antihypertensive drugs may result in further lowering of blood pressure, necessitating dosage adjustments and monitoring. Particularly, patients using PDE5 inhibitors (e.g., sildenafil) should be warned of the risk of excessively low blood pressure when using this medication concurrently. Keep out of reach of children and ensure the medication is taken by removing it from the package. Swallowing the packaging whole can cause esophageal damage. In elderly patients, there may be a risk of side effects due to declining liver function; therefore, it should be administered with caution while observing their condition carefully. If any unusual symptoms or discomfort occur during treatment, consult medical personnel immediately.
