This medication is used for the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. It is particularly effective in reducing the incidence of spinal fractures. However, please note that its efficacy for non-spinal fractures has not yet been clearly established. Overall, this medication helps maintain bone density and reduce fracture risk.

How to take

Adult dose

1 tablet once daily, taken regardless of meals.

Precautions

This medication may increase the risk of blood clots in the blood, so it is not advisable for women with a history of venous thromboembolism or risk factors. This medication is indicated only for postmenopausal women and should not be taken by premenopausal women, pregnant women, or breastfeeding women. If uterine bleeding occurs during use, a specialist should be consulted, and it is not recommended for patients with breast cancer. Patients with hypersensitivity or a history of certain genetic disorders, hypercalcemia, kidney stones, etc., should not take this medication. Patients with high triglyceride levels or issues with kidney and liver function, or those taking certain medications, should consult a doctor before use. This medication may cause drowsiness or vision impairment, so caution is needed when driving or operating dangerous machinery.
