Improvement of Alzheimer's dementia symptoms
This medication is used to improve the symptoms of Alzheimer's type dementia.
Donepezil Hydrochloride is administered at a dose of 5 mg once daily before bedtime. If sleep disturbances such as bizarre dreams, nightmares, or insomnia occur, consideration may be given to administering it in the morning. The concentration of Donepezil reaches a steady state 15 days after administration, so a dosage of 5 mg should be administered for 4 to 6 weeks. After evaluating the clinical response during this period, the dosage can be increased up to 10 mg. When increasing to 10 mg daily, caution should be exercised regarding gastrointestinal adverse reactions.
There is no experience of use in pediatric patients.

During use, symptoms such as cardiac irregularities, gastrointestinal bleeding, liver dysfunction, and neurological symptoms may occur, and if any of these symptoms appear, consult a doctor immediately. This medication may affect the ability to drive or operate machinery, so caution should be exercised during initial treatment or dosage changes. Pregnant or nursing women are advised not to use this medication unless necessary, and in such cases, consultation with a healthcare professional is essential. This medication may interact with other drugs, so particularly when taking heart medications, antibiotics, antidepressants, etc., consultation with a doctor or pharmacist is a must. In case of overdose, symptoms such as severe nausea, vomiting, bradycardia, and respiratory depression may occur, and in such cases, immediate medical attention is necessary. Keep out of reach of children, and avoid transferring to other containers to ensure safety.
