This medication is used for patients who need to take two components: Candesartan Cilexetil and Rosuvastatin together. Candesartan Cilexetil is used in patients with essential hypertension and those with heart failure when left ventricular function is impaired, especially when it is necessary to add or replace ACE inhibitors. Meanwhile, Rosuvastatin is prescribed when primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed hyperlipidemia cannot be controlled by diet alone. Additionally, it is used as an adjunct to diet in patients with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia or dysbetalipoproteinemia, helping to slow the progression of atherosclerosis and lower the risk of cardiovascular disease. In high-risk groups with elevated high-sensitivity C-reactive protein levels, it also reduces the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and vascular revascularization. Therefore, this medication is used to manage hypertension and hyperlipidemia together to improve cardiovascular health.
