Adult dosage
This medication should be swallowed with liquid such as water and should not be chewed or crushed. 1. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) - Treatment of erosive reflux esophagitis: 40 mg once daily for 4 weeks. - Long-term maintenance therapy for preventing relapse in patients with esophagitis: 20 mg once daily. - Treatment of symptoms related to gastroesophageal reflux disease without esophagitis: 20 mg once daily. If symptoms are uncontrolled after 4 weeks, further medical treatment is necessary. Once symptoms are alleviated, persistent symptoms can be controlled with 20 mg once daily. In adults, 20 mg can be administered once daily as needed. It is not recommended to use as needed for continuous symptom control in patients at high risk of developing gastric and duodenal ulcers due to NSAID use.
Children's dosage

It is utilized in the treatment and prevention of recurrence of duodenal ulcers and peptic ulcers associated with antibiotic combination therapy to eradicate Helicobacter pylori. Additionally, it aids in the treatment of upper gastrointestinal symptoms related to the intake of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), as well as the treatment and prevention of gastric and duodenal ulcers. It is also used in the treatment of Zollinger-Ellison syndrome and for the prevention and maintenance therapy of gastrointestinal bleeding caused by gastric or duodenal ulcers.
