This medication helps patients with type 2 diabetes control their blood sugar levels in conjunction with diet control and exercise therapy. It can be used alone or in combination with other medications, and is used to effectively improve blood sugar management.

Dosage and Administration

The recommended dosage of this medication is 5mg once daily. It can be administered regardless of meals.

Precautions

This medication should not be administered to patients who are allergic to the active ingredient or any other components of this medication. This medication should also not be used in patients with type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis. Caution is needed when used in combination with insulin or sulfonylurea medications, as this could increase the risk of hypoglycemia. Experience with this medication in patients with heart failure is limited, so it should be administered with caution. Acute pancreatitis may occur during treatment with this medication, so if severe abdominal pain persists, discontinue use immediately and consult a physician.
