This medication is used to inhibit thrombus formation in major vascular diseases such as myocardial infarction, cerebral infarction, and unstable angina. It also helps to prevent thrombus formation after coronary artery bypass grafting or percutaneous coronary intervention. It is effective in reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases in high-risk patients with multiple risk factors such as hypertension, high cholesterol, and diabetes. How to take

Adult dose

Adults: Take 1 tablet once daily with sufficient water before meals.

Precautions

Patients who regularly consume more than three alcoholic drinks a day may have an increased risk of gastrointestinal bleeding when taking this medication, so it is essential to consult a doctor or pharmacist. Patients with hypersensitivity to this medication, peptic ulcer, aspirin-induced asthma, hemophilia, severe liver dysfunction, renal impairment, heart failure, a tendency to bleed, patients taking high doses of methotrexate, and pregnant women in the third trimester should not take this medication. Caution is advised in patients with renal impairment, cardiovascular circulation issues, liver dysfunction, blood disorders, bronchial asthma, pre-operative patients, children under 3 years of age, patients with a history of hypersensitivity or allergies, elderly patients, patients on anticoagulants, and patients with G6PD deficiency. Adverse reactions such as shock, anaphylaxis, asthma attacks, rashes, blood disorders, gastrointestinal disturbances, neurological symptoms, liver dysfunction, renal impairment, and metabolic acidosis may occur, so if any symptoms arise, discontinuation of the medication and consultation with a doctor should be immediate. Use in children under 14 years with chickenpox or influenza carries the risk of Reye's syndrome, so it should be used very cautiously, and regular monitoring for adverse symptoms is required during long-term use. This medication may interact with various drugs, so it is essential to consult a doctor or pharmacist when taken with anticoagulants, antidiabetic agents, methotrexate, lithium preparations, other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), digoxin, etc. In the early and mid-stages of pregnancy, this medication should only be taken at the minimum necessary dose, and in the third trimester, it should not be used due to risks to both the fetus and the mother. Hives, severe swelling (angioedema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, shock and anaphylactic symptoms, asthma attacks, severe allergic reactions, Lyell's syndrome (toxic epidermal necrolysis), Stevens-Johnson syndrome, exfoliative dermatitis, severe rash with high fever, blistering, desquamation of skin, pain in oral/ocular mucosa, aplastic anemia, anemia, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, impaired platelet function (prolonged bleeding time), severe skin abnormalities.

Mild side effects

Loss of appetite, heartburn, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, erythema, itching, nasal congestion, rash, swelling, rhinitis symptoms, conjunctivitis, tinnitus, hearing loss, dizziness, headache, excitement, temporary liver damage due to increased transaminases, metabolic acidosis, hyperventilation

Drug interactions

This medication can increase the risk of bleeding when used with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and salicylate preparations. In combination with methotrexate at doses of 15 milligrams or more, renal function impairment and increased bleeding risk occur, so they should not be used together. Anticoagulants, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen and naproxen, thrombolytics, other platelet aggregation inhibitors, hemostatic agents, diabetes treatment agents (insulin preparations, tolbutamide)
