Relief of inflammation and pain in rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis
This medication is effective for various inflammatory and painful conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis (degenerative joint disease), ankylosing spondylitis, tendinitis, acute gout, and dysmenorrhea. It can also be used for bursitis, musculoskeletal disorders (sprains, strains, trauma, low back pain), postoperative pain, migraines, and pain after tooth extraction. This drug helps relieve inflammation and pain in joints and muscles, thus improving the quality of life for patients. Therefore, it is used for major inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and various painful conditions.
1. Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis: Administer 250-500 mg of naproxen orally twice daily (every 12 hours). 2. Acute gout: Administer an initial dose of 750 mg orally, and 250 mg orally every 8 hours until the attack subsides. 3. Musculoskeletal disorders, postoperative pain, pain after tooth extraction, dysmenorrhea, tendinitis, bursitis: Administer an initial dose of 500 mg orally, and then 250 mg every 6-8 hours. Total daily dosage should not exceed 1,250 mg. 4. Migraine: Administer an initial dose of 750 mg orally. If necessary, an additional 250-500 mg may be administered daily, 30 minutes after the initial dose. The total daily dosage should not exceed 1,250 mg. Adjust according to age and symptoms.
This medication can cause gastrointestinal bleeding if taken by individuals who regularly consume three or more alcoholic beverages daily. Therefore, it is essential to consult with a doctor or pharmacist. This medication may affect the cardiovascular system, and patients with cardiovascular diseases or risk factors should use it with caution, as there is a risk of serious issues such as myocardial infarction or stroke. Serious adverse reactions such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforations may occur, so those with a history of gastrointestinal diseases or the elderly should be particularly careful. Patients with a history of peptic ulcers, severe blood disorders, liver dysfunction, heart failure, kidney disorders, severe hypertension, or hypersensitivity to chemical components should not take this medication. Individuals with a history of peptic ulcers, blood disorders, bleeding tendencies, liver dysfunction, kidney disorders, heart failure, hypertension, hypersensitivity, bronchial asthma, autoimmune diseases, and the elderly should use this medication with caution. Various adverse reactions may occur, including hypersensitivity reactions, gastrointestinal bleeding or ulcers, blood disorders, liver dysfunction, kidney issues, neurological symptoms, skin rashes, etc. Symptoms must be reported immediately to a doctor. This medication should be used at the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary, and regular monitoring is needed for chronic disease treatment. The risk of side effects may increase when used in combination with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, so co-administration is not recommended. It should be avoided during pregnancy, especially in the later stages, as it may pose risks to the fetus, and breastfeeding women should also not take this medication. It is advisable not to use this drug in infants under 2 years of age, as its safety has not been established. In the elderly, the risk of gastrointestinal-related side effects is higher, so it should be administered carefully starting at a lower dose. In case of overdose, symptoms may include drowsiness, dyspepsia, and vomiting, and immediate medical attention should be sought. This medication should be kept out of reach of children, and transferring it to other containers may compromise its quality.
