Precautions

This medication may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding if taken by individuals who regularly consume more than three drinks per day, and consultation with a doctor or pharmacist is essential. It may increase the risk of cardiovascular events, potentially leading to serious thrombotic events such as myocardial infarction or stroke; therefore, it should be used at the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary. Serious gastrointestinal issues such as ulcers, bleeding, or perforation may occur, especially in elderly patients or those with a history of gastrointestinal disorders, so caution is needed. This drug should not be used in patients with certain allergies, severe liver or kidney dysfunction, active gastrointestinal ulcers, congestive heart failure, pregnant or breastfeeding women. Patients with impaired liver or kidney function, asthma, hypertension, or a history of cardiovascular disease should use it cautiously and strictly follow medical instructions. During use, various adverse reactions such as dyspepsia, abdominal pain, headache, dizziness, skin rash, edema, and heart-related symptoms may occur; report any unusual symptoms immediately to medical personnel. As this medication is metabolized in the liver, it can impact liver function, and regular liver and kidney function tests should be conducted. There are many drug interactions; if you are taking other medications, ensure you inform your healthcare provider, particularly regarding blood pressure medications, anticoagulants, antidepressants, and antibiotics. Women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant should avoid this medication, and nursing mothers are advised to discontinue either the medication or breastfeeding. Elderly patients may have a higher risk of decreased kidney and heart function; therefore, careful observation is necessary during administration. While taking this medicine, care should be taken when driving or operating machinery, as dizziness or drowsiness may occur. In cases of overdose, symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, and gastrointestinal bleeding may appear, and immediate medical attention should be sought.
