Precautions
This medication can cause serious lung disease known as interstitial pneumonia, so if fever, cough, shortness of breath, abnormal sounds in the lungs, or anomalies found in chest X-ray examinations occur during treatment, the medication should be stopped immediately, and consultation with a specialist is advised. Patients currently taking interferon preparations, as well as those with cirrhosis, liver cancer, or severely impaired liver function due to chronic hepatitis, should not take this medication. The risk of interstitial pneumonia increases when this drug is taken with interferon preparations; therefore, they should not be used together. Patients with hypertension, heart or kidney diseases, edema, those taking other medications, elderly individuals, pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, children, patients with severely reduced physical strength, patients with impaired liver function due to chronic hepatitis, individuals with liver disease, and those who have previously experienced skin rashes or itching due to medication should consult a healthcare professional before taking this drug. If swelling of the face or extremities occurs, or if blood pressure rises and headaches, muscle weakness, muscle pain, or limb cramps appear during usage, the treatment should be stopped immediately, and appropriate care should be sought. Additionally, if gastrointestinal symptoms such as loss of appetite, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or constipation, liver function abnormalities, skin rashes, or urinary symptoms (difficulty urinating, hematuria, etc.) arise, medication should be discontinued, and a specialist should be consulted. If symptoms do not improve after one month of treatment, it is recommended to stop taking the drug and consult healthcare staff. Avoid prolonged use of this medication; if long-term usage is unavoidable, please consult a specialist. Always adhere to the prescribed dosage and route of administration; caution is necessary as taking this medication in conjunction with other drugs containing potassium or licorice may increase side effects. When combining with other traditional medicines, care should be taken to avoid component overlap, and chronic hepatitis patients should frequently check their platelet levels; if abnormalities are found, dosing should be stopped. This medication should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and kept in a secure location out of reach of children. Transferring the medication from its original container to another can pose risks of misuse or degradation in quality, so it must remain in its original container.
