Precautions

This medicine should not be administered to certain patients. First, it should not be used in patients who have had allergic reactions to this drug or in patients with myasthenia gravis. Additionally, as this medicine contains lactose, patients with genetic disorders that prevent lactose digestion should also avoid it. This medicine should be used cautiously in patients with a history of drug allergies or liver function problems, as it may worsen liver function; therefore, special caution is necessary for patients with liver disorders. During the course of treatment, rare shock reactions may occur, so the patient's condition should be closely monitored. Liver function abnormalities, such as elevated liver enzyme levels, may occur, so regular checks on liver health are advised. It can also affect kidney function; if there are any abnormalities in urine protein or blood test values, immediate action is necessary. Anemia may occur from blood tests, so symptoms should be closely observed. Additionally, rash or itching may appear on the skin, and symptoms of the central nervous system such as insomnia, drowsiness, headache, or limb paralysis and tremors may occur. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, and diarrhea should be monitored. Urinary symptoms may include difficulty urinating or a feeling of residual urine. Systemic weakness, dizziness, and reduced muscle tension may appear, and rarely, flushing of the face, sweating, or edema may occur. There is a possibility of serious allergic reactions such as anaphylaxis, so if any unusual symptoms occur, consult medical personnel immediately. This medicine may cause severe skin reactions, such as toxic epidermal necrolysis syndrome or Stevens-Johnson syndrome; therefore, if fever, skin rashes, blisters, itching, eye redness, or stomatitis appear, it should be discontinued immediately, and the hospital should be visited. If symptoms such as weakness, staggering, or drowsiness occur, it may be necessary to reduce or stop the dosage. This medicine can cause drowsiness or decreased concentration, so driving or operating dangerous machinery should be avoided. Caution should be taken when co-administering with similar medications or certain muscle relaxants, as visual disturbances may occur. Safety during pregnancy has not been established, so women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should consult a doctor before use. During breastfeeding, administration should be avoided if possible, and if necessary, it is recommended to stop breastfeeding. Safety in children has not been sufficiently confirmed, and usage experience is limited, so it should be used cautiously. Elderly patients may have decreased bodily functions and require caution, such as reducing the dosage.
