Precautions

This medication should be discussed with a doctor or pharmacist if the patient regularly consumes more than three alcoholic drinks a day. There is a risk of gastrointestinal bleeding in patients who consume a lot of alcohol while taking this medication. This medication can increase the risk to the cardiovascular and cerebrovascular systems. Patients with cardiovascular risk factors, such as heart failure, hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, or smoking history, should use this medication with caution. The longer the duration and higher the dosage, the greater the cardiovascular risk, so the lowest effective dose should be used for the shortest duration possible. This medication can cause serious gastrointestinal issues such as bleeding, ulcers, and perforation, so those with a history of gastrointestinal disease or elderly individuals should be particularly cautious. If symptoms of gastrointestinal bleeding or pain occur during treatment, medical attention should be sought immediately. Patients with active peptic ulcer or bleeding, or those with allergies to this medication or similar medications should not take it. Patients with a history of asthma, hives, or allergic reactions should also avoid this medication. It is also not safe for women in late pregnancy or those with severe heart failure, severe kidney, or liver dysfunction. Patients with impaired kidney function, heart failure, hypertension, or liver dysfunction should take this medication with caution and should have their condition monitored often. This medication may cause side effects such as dizziness, gastrointestinal disturbances, elevated liver enzyme levels, and skin rashes. Particularly, if severe skin rashes or allergic symptoms appear, the medication should be discontinued immediately, and a doctor should be consulted. This medication interacts with many other drugs, so if the patient is taking other medications such as digoxin, anticoagulants, diabetes medications, diuretics, lithium, or methotrexate, they must consult with a doctor. Women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant should be cautious about taking this medication, especially in late pregnancy, when it should not be taken at all. If breastfeeding, medical consultation is necessary as this medication may be transferred to breast milk. Safety and effectiveness in children and adolescents have not been established, so its use is not recommended. Elderly patients are at a higher risk of gastrointestinal bleeding and perforation, so special caution is required when taking this medication. In case of overdose, symptoms such as gastrointestinal irritation, hypotension, respiratory depression, and seizures may occur, so immediate medical treatment is required. This medication should be kept out of the reach of children, and it is advisable not to transfer it to another container.
