Precautions

This medication is a steroid-containing lotion used to relieve skin inflammation and itching. It should not be administered to patients with bacterial, fungal, viral, or animal skin infections, as it may worsen the symptoms. Also, patients with allergies to this medication or its components, those with external otitis media with a perforated eardrum, ulcers or severe burns, and patients with perioral dermatitis or non-inflammatory itching should avoid its use. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, especially children under the age of 2 and the elderly, should use this medication with special caution and preferably after consulting a physician. Using this medication may lead to skin infections, and symptoms like skin irritation, rashes, itching, and skin dryness may occur; in such cases, use should be discontinued. Prolonged use may cause side effects such as skin thinning or vascular dilation, so the amount and duration of use should be adjusted. If absorbed systemically, it may affect hormone balance, leading to symptoms such as weight gain, elevated blood sugar, and hypertension, so regular monitoring is necessary when used extensively or with occlusive dressings for long periods. Care should be taken when applying near the eyes, as it may lead to eye diseases such as glaucoma or cataract, and it should not be used for ophthalmic purposes. It is generally not used for eczema or dermatitis accompanied by skin infection, but if necessary, it should be used in conjunction with antibacterial or antifungal agents. The use of this medication is recommended for a short period of up to 7 days, and it should be stopped as soon as symptoms improve. If pregnant or breastfeeding, use should be limited to the minimum dose and duration due to the potential risks to the fetus or infant, and nursing mothers should avoid applying it to the breast area. Children and the elderly may absorb the medication more effectively, increasing the risk of side effects, so caution is essential during use. In case of overdose, systemic side effects may occur, so it should be managed according to a physician's instructions, and it should not be applied to areas other than those intended for treatment, such as after makeup or shaving. This medication should be kept out of the reach of children.
