This drug is administered to patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled even with the combination of telmisartan and amlodipine, and in cases where rosuvastatin is needed to be taken simultaneously. Rosuvastatin is used as an adjunct therapy when dietary and exercise interventions are insufficient for managing hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia. Additionally, it helps in the treatment of familial hypercholesterolemia or dysbetalipoproteinemia, reducing total cholesterol and LDL-cholesterol, thus delaying the progression of atherosclerosis. This drug is also used to reduce the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and the need for arterial revascularization to lower the risk of cardiovascular disease. Therefore, this medication is effective in treating patients with hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and cardiovascular risk.
