Precautions

This medication should not be taken by women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, as the ingredients can cause uterus contractions, increasing the risk of miscarriage or premature birth. It is also recommended to avoid breastfeeding while taking this medication as the active ingredients may be transmitted through breast milk, potentially causing diarrhea in the baby. Individuals with lactose intolerance or certain genetic conditions that prevent lactose digestion should not take this medication as it contains lactose which can exacerbate symptoms. During treatment with this medication, do not take other laxatives as drug interactions may lead to side effects. Patients with hypertension, heart disease, kidney disease, or edema, as well as the elderly, should consult a healthcare professional before taking this medication. Caution is also needed in cases of weak stomachs, loss of appetite, nausea, or vomiting symptoms. If any unusual symptoms such as skin rashes, itching, indigestion, muscle weakness, headaches, or edema occur while taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Long-term use is not recommended; if continued use is necessary, follow a healthcare professional's guidance. Stimulant laxatives can lead to tolerance with long-term use, potentially worsening constipation, so it is advisable not to take them for more than one week. Caution is required when using this medication in conjunction with other drugs, especially Ma-Huang, Licorice, diuretics, and thyroid medications, as side effects may occur; consult a healthcare professional.
