Treatment of essential hypertension and hypercholesterolemia (to reduce the risk of atherosclerosis)
This medication is used as a combination of telmisartan and amlodipine in cases where hypertension is not adequately controlled. Rosuvastatin helps treat hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia. Telmisartan/Amlodipine is effectively used to lower blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension. Rosuvastatin is utilized as an adjunct to dietary therapy for patients with primary and familial hypercholesterolemia, mixed hyperlipidemia, and abnormal beta-lipoproteinemia. It also helps to lower total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol levels, delaying the progression of atherosclerosis and reducing the risk of complications such as stroke, myocardial infarction, and revascularization procedures in high-risk patients. Therefore, this medication is very useful for treating patients with both hypertension and dyslipidemia and is used to decrease the risk of cardiovascular disease.
Take one tablet once daily with water, regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time every day, if possible (e.g., in the morning). Before administering the telmisartan/amlodipine combination, it is recommended to adjust the doses of each individual component; however, if blood pressure is not controlled, conversion to the combination can be considered. - 40/5 mg: Given to patients whose blood pressure is not controlled with amlodipine 5 mg or telmisartan 40 mg.
