This medication is for patients whose hypertension is not controlled by either amlodipine or telmisartan alone, and for those who must also take atorvastatin for treating hypercholesterolemia. The telmisartan/amlodipine combination is effective for blood pressure control in patients with essential hypertension. Atorvastatin is used as an adjunct to diet in various lipid disorders such as primary hypercholesterolemia, mixed hyperlipidemia, and familial hypercholesterolemia, lowering serum cholesterol and LDL cholesterol levels to delay the progression of atherosclerosis. Additionally, it improves cardiovascular health by reducing the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and vascular interventions in patients at high cardiovascular risk with elevated high-sensitivity C-reactive protein levels. Therefore, this medication is effectively used for the management of both hypertension and hyperlipidemia.
