This medication is used for patients with hypertension who do not achieve adequate blood pressure control with telmisartan and amlodipine alone, as well as for patients who require concomitant use of rosuvastatin. The combination of telmisartan and amlodipine effectively lowers blood pressure, aiding in the treatment of essential hypertension. Rosuvastatin is used as an adjunct in patients with hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia that are not controlled by diet and exercise. It is also applicable to patients with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia or dysbetalipoproteinemia. This medication helps lower total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol levels, delaying the progression of atherosclerosis and reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease. Thus, it is used to simultaneously manage hypertension and dyslipidemia, improving cardiovascular health.
