This medication is used in patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled even with the administration of a combination of telmisartan and amlodipine. Additionally, rosuvastatin is used as an adjunct for patients with primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed hyperlipidemia who find it difficult to control their condition with diet and exercise. It helps improve lipids in patients with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia or dysbetalipoproteinemia and lowers total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol, delaying the progression of atherosclerosis. Furthermore, it is used in high-risk patients with a high risk of cardiovascular disease to reduce the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and arterial revascularization procedures. This medication improves overall cardiovascular health through the management of hypertension and hyperlipidemia.
