View approved original text

This medication is used as an adjunct to dietary therapy aimed at reducing elevated triglyceride levels in patients with endogenous hypertriglyceridemia. It is effective when taken alone in patients with hypertriglyceridemia (Type IV), and enhances treatment effects when combined with statins in patients exhibiting both hypercholesterolemia and hypertriglyceridemia (Type IIb). Especially, patients with uncontrolled triglyceride levels can be managed with this medication in combination with statins. This medication helps improve lipid levels in various types of hypertriglyceridemia patients.
