It aids in the short-term treatment of upper gastrointestinal symptoms resulting from the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and helps in the treatment and prevention of gastric ulcers caused by long-term use. It is also used as maintenance therapy to prevent rebleeding from gastric ulcers and duodenal ulcers in Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with known allergies or hypersensitivity to any of its components. Additionally, caution is required when used in conjunction with penicillin or macrolide antibiotics in patients with allergies to these medications. Women who are breastfeeding or patients with a history of myocardial infarction should avoid using this medication. This product contains certain colorants, and should be used with caution in individuals allergic to them. During treatment, rare side effects may occur, including blood cell count decreases, allergic reactions, insomnia, headache, abdominal pain, and more. Long-term use may result in electrolyte imbalances, such as low magnesium levels, necessitating regular check-ups. As this medication suppresses gastric acid secretion, it may increase the risk of certain bacterial infections, so patients should consult a doctor if diarrhea persists. Special caution is needed for patients at risk of osteoporosis, as long-term use may increase the risk of fractures. Drug interactions may occur, so it is imperative that patients inform their healthcare providers of any medications they are taking. The safety of this medication during pregnancy has not been conclusively established, so pregnant women should consult with a doctor before use. In case of overdose, as there is no specific antidote, appropriate treatment should be administered based on the symptoms, and it should be stored out of reach of children.
