This medication is used to disinfect the skin of patients before surgery, helping to keep the skin clean and disinfected before inserting syringe needles or catheters to prevent infection. Therefore, it is used for skin disinfection before surgery and before injections or catheter insertions.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

This medication is for topical use only and is for single use. Each applicator contains 1mL, 1.5mL, 3mL, 10.5mL, or 26mL of disinfectant solution. The maximum treatment area per applicator is as follows: - 1mL: approximately 6.5 × 6.5 cm (42cm2) - 3mL: approximately 10.2 × 12.7 cm (130cm2) - 10.5mL: approximately 21.4 × 21.4 cm

Precautions

This product should not be used by individuals with a history of allergic reactions to chlorhexidine, isopropanol, or Yellow No. 5. It should not be used for disinfecting surgical instruments, nor should it come into direct contact with nervous tissue, such as the brain or spinal cord. Care must be taken to avoid contact with sensitive areas such as the eyes, ears, and mouth, as it can cause serious damage if it enters these areas. It should also not be used on genital mucosa, open wounds, or damaged skin, and should be avoided in infants under 2 months old. Before using this medication, individuals with a history of allergies to other drugs or allergic conditions like asthma should consult a physician or pharmacist.
