Improvement in blood pressure control for essential hypertension
Used for essential hypertension that is not adequately controlled with monotherapy of Amlodipine or Valsartan.
The recommended dosage of this medication is 1 tablet once daily, taken with water and irrespective of meals. It is advisable to take it at the same time every day (e.g., in the morning). Before administration, adjusting the dosage with individual components (Amlodipine or Valsartan) is recommended; however, it can be switched to this medication if blood pressure is uncontrolled with monotherapy. For patients with renal impairment, dose adjustment is not necessary for mild to moderate cases.
The safety and efficacy of this medication have not been established in pediatric patients under 18 years of age, so its administration is not recommended.

Patients with hypersensitivity to this medication, women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, patients with severe kidney or liver impairment, and those with certain heart diseases should not take this medication. Patients with depleted body sodium or fluids may experience hypotension, so their condition should be well evaluated prior to use, and blood pressure and symptoms should be closely monitored during treatment. Patients with high potassium levels should be cautious when taking this medication alongside potassium supplements or medications that can elevate potassium, and regular blood potassium levels should be checked. Patients with impaired renal function or those who have undergone kidney transplantation should use this medication carefully due to the risk of worsening kidney function. If symptoms of angioedema, such as swelling of the face, lips, or tongue occur during treatment, the medication should be stopped immediately and medical consultation sought. Patients with heart failure or following myocardial infarction require regular testing as it may affect renal function, and caution should be exercised as symptoms may worsen in some heart disease patients. Taking this medication with other antihypertensives or specific drugs can increase the risk of hypotension, hyperkalemia, and changes in kidney function, and it should be taken according to medical advice. Caution is needed while driving or operating machinery as dizziness or fatigue may occur. Overdose can cause severe hypotension or cardiac abnormalities, so prescribed dosages must be strictly followed, and any unusual symptoms should lead to an immediate visit to a medical facility. This medication is not recommended for children under 18 years of age as safety and efficacy have not been established. Elderly patients may take a similar dosage to adults, but careful monitoring according to their physical condition is necessary.
