Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients who are allergic to this medication or its ingredients. It is especially safe not to administer to patients with thyroid function issues, poor kidney function, newborns and infants under 6 months of age, and those with certain skin conditions. Particular caution is necessary when using this medication in elderly patients with severe conditions or a history of thyroid disease and kidney disease. Rare allergic reactions may occur with this medication, and irritation symptoms such as pain, itching, and rashes may arise on the skin, so if severe symptoms occur, use should be discontinued. Using large amounts may cause electrolyte imbalance or kidney function impairment, so care is needed. Long-term or large-scale use may affect thyroid function; therefore, regular testing is required. Before use right before delivery, the newborn's eyes and skin should be thoroughly washed clean, and if there is no therapeutic effect, surgical or other treatment methods should be considered. This medication may affect thyroid diagnostic tests, so an appropriate interval should be maintained between the test and administration. Caution is needed when used in conjunction with other medications, as the sanitizing effect may be reduced, particularly in patients undergoing lithium therapy, as this medication should not be used regularly. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should not use it for prolonged periods or extensively, as it may affect the thyroid function of the fetus and newborn, so caution is necessary. In case of overdose, gastrointestinal disturbances, neurological symptoms, and mucosal damage may occur, necessitating immediate medical attention. Care should be taken to avoid contact with eyes; if contact occurs, wash immediately with clean water. The affected area should be thoroughly washed before use, and it should not be mixed with other medications. Any clothing contaminated with this medication should be washed immediately, and soap products may reduce sanitizing effectiveness, so rinsing thoroughly with water is advised.
