Improvement of hand hygiene for surgeons and healthcare workers
This medication is used to thoroughly disinfect the hands of surgeons and healthcare workers before surgery. This helps reduce the risk of infection at the surgical site and ensures patient safety. Hand disinfection is very important for the prevention of infectious diseases by inhibiting the growth of microorganisms. Therefore, it helps maintain strict hygiene in the surgical environment.
Apply the sponge saturated with the solution to the hands and elbows and rub for 3 minutes. Pay special attention to the nails, epidermis, and between the fingers while rubbing. Use a brush if necessary. Rinse with warm water and repeat washing for another 3 minutes, then wash thoroughly with water and dry completely.
This medication contains chlorhexidine and is used for sterilization and disinfection purposes. However, individuals with allergies or hypersensitivity to chlorhexidine should not use this medication. Especially, it should not be used on areas that directly contact the central nervous system, such as the brain, spinal cord, and ears, as it may cause hearing impairment or neurological damage. Additionally, when used on mucous membranes such as the vagina, bladder, or oral cavity, shock reactions may occur, so caution is required. It can cause severe corneal damage if it gets into the eyes, so care must be taken to avoid contact with the eyes. It is also safer not to use it on areas with ulceration or pus. Individuals with allergies to other medications or a history of asthma or allergic diseases should use this medication with caution. If symptoms such as nausea, dizziness, difficulty breathing, or redness occur during use, discontinue use immediately and seek professional help. Pregnant or nursing women are advised not to use this medication. This medication should only be used externally, and accidental ingestion or injection can cause serious side effects, necessitating immediate medical attention. After use, it should be stored in a cool, dry place out of the reach of children, avoiding direct sunlight. When diluting the solution for use, clean distilled water should be used, and the diluted solution should be made fresh daily for safety. Care should be taken to maintain the effective concentration of this medication as it may adsorb to fibers or fabrics, and using it with soap or organic materials may reduce its sterilizing effect. Finally, it is important to strictly adhere to the usage instructions and dosage before using this medication and to consult with medical staff regarding any history of hypersensitivity.
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
This medication can interact with organic substances such as serum and organic matter, including soaps, which may weaken its sterilizing effect, so it should be thoroughly washed off before use.
This medication should be stored in a tightly sealed container to avoid exposure to air and moisture. Additionally, storing at room temperature between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius is the safest.
