Precautions

This medication should not be used by individuals with a history of allergy or hypersensitivity to chlorhexidine or isopropanol. It should not be used to disinfect surgical instruments, and care must be taken to avoid direct contact with nervous tissues such as the brain or spinal cord. It should not be applied to sensitive areas such as the eyes, ears, or mouth, as residue may cause serious damage. It should not be used on mucous membranes, especially genital mucosa, and it is advisable not to apply it to open wounds or damaged skin. Additionally, it should be avoided in infants under 2 months old. Before using this medication, individuals with a history of allergies to other drugs or a personal or family history of asthma and allergic diseases should consult a physician or pharmacist. Particularly, those with a history of hypersensitivity to chlorhexidine or who have experienced anaphylactic shock should be especially cautious. If allergic symptoms occur during use such as nausea, dizziness, difficulty breathing, or redness, use must be stopped immediately and medical advice sought. Allergic reactions may be masked during anesthesia, so careful monitoring is required. If rash, hives, itching, redness, inflammation, or other symptoms develop, use should be discontinued and consulted with a healthcare professional, as these may be signs of a severe allergic reaction. This medication is for external use only on intact skin, and caution must be taken to avoid contact with the eyes, ears, or mouth. If it comes into contact with the eyes, rinse thoroughly with clean water immediately. When used for extended periods or over large areas, it is important to avoid inhaling vapors, and combining it with soap or other chemicals may reduce its antimicrobial effectiveness, so it should be thoroughly rinsed before use. This medication is flammable, so it should not be used near flames or heat, and care must be exercised to avoid ignition sources until the skin is completely dry. Do not apply excessive amounts and ensure that the solution does not pool in skin folds or under the patient, although it is preferable to leave a residue of the solution on the skin after treatment; if removal is necessary, it can be washed off with soap and water or alcohol. This is a single-use product and should not be reused, and caution should be taken to avoid contact with certain vaccines or dermatological test measures. When applying to hairy areas, wait until the hair is completely dry, as wet hair is flammable. In the event of accidental ingestion of a large quantity, seek medical attention immediately for appropriate treatment, and transfusion may be necessary if administered intravenously to prevent hemolytic reactions. Store in a location out of reach of children and keep sealed in the original container to maintain the quality of the medication.
