Improvement of skin diseases such as eczema, dermatitis, and urticaria.
This medication is used for various skin inflammatory diseases, including eczema and dermatitis, and chronic simple eczema. It is also effective for urticaria with wheals and itchy rashes. It helps treat insect bites, psoriasis, and symptoms of pustular disease on palms and soles of the feet. Thus, it is used for alleviating and treating the symptoms of various skin diseases.
Apply an appropriate amount to the affected area 1-2 times a day, adjusting as necessary according to symptoms. Also, conduct occlusive therapy as needed.
This medication is for topical use only and should not be used in patients with certain skin infections. For example, it should not be administered in cases of bacterial, fungal, viral, or animal-related skin infections as it may worsen symptoms. Additionally, patients allergic or hypersensitive to this medication or its ingredients should not use it. In patients with perforated tympanic membranes due to eczematous otitis externa, delayed wound healing may occur, so it should not be used. It should also be avoided in patients with ulcers, severe burns, or frostbite, as skin regeneration may be inhibited and healing delayed. Patients with dermatitis around the mouth, common acne, or rosacea should not use this medication. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, nursing mothers, children, and elderly patients should use this medication with caution. Particularly in children, the absorption of medication relative to body surface area is greater, increasing the risk of side effects, so care is necessary. Long-term or extensive use of this medication may lead to skin infections, and if signs of infection appear, use should be stopped immediately. Skin adverse reactions such as irritation, dryness, rash, and itching may occur, so it is advisable to stop using the medication if symptoms appear. Prolonged use may result in skin thinning or blood vessel dilation, necessitating gradual reduction of the dosage. This medication can have systemic side effects, so blood tests to check hormonal status should be performed if used in large quantities or under occlusive treatments. Caution is required when using it near the eyes, as there is a risk of increased intraocular pressure, glaucoma, and cataracts. In cases of inflammation accompanied by skin infections, this medication should not be used alone, and if needed, should be combined with antibiotics or antifungals. If symptoms do not improve or worsen, use should be stopped immediately, and a doctor should be consulted. Pregnant or nursing women should avoid long-term use of this medication and only use it if deemed necessary by a physician. Special care should be taken when using in children, and it is advisable to avoid application in diaper areas. Elderly patients may present side effects more easily due to decreased bodily functions, so careful observation is necessary during use. This medication should not be used for ophthalmic purposes, and should not be applied to skin for non-therapeutic purposes such as cosmetics or after shaving. Occlusive treatments should only be performed under the guidance of a physician in a clean manner, as arbitrary use may pose risks. Lastly, it should be stored out of reach of children to prevent accidents.
