Gastrointestinal symptoms such as dry mouth, heartburn, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and constipation may occur. Cardiovascular side effects such as hypertension or arrhythmias may arise, necessitating observation. Rarely, a serious side effect known as neuroleptic malignant syndrome can occur, and if symptoms like high fever, muscle rigidity, or altered consciousness appear, immediate discontinuation of the drug and emergency treatment is required.
