This medication is used for chronic inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis (degenerative arthritis), and periarthritis of the scapulohumeral joint. It also helps relieve pain associated with dental pain, inflammation after trauma, low back pain, sciatica, and non-articular rheumatism. This medication effectively improves various types of pain and inflammation.
For aceclofenac, take 100 mg twice a day every 12 hours. This medication should not be chewed or crushed but taken whole. Adjust dosage appropriately according to symptoms. To minimize cardiovascular adverse reactions, it should be administered at the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration.
Persons who regularly consume more than three drinks a day must consult with a physician or pharmacist before taking this medication, as it may cause gastrointestinal bleeding when taken with alcohol. This medication may increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases, so individuals with a history of heart or cerebrovascular diseases or risk factors should use it cautiously. The longer the dosage and duration, the greater the risk; therefore, it is advisable to take the lowest dose for the shortest duration possible. This medication can place a burden on the stomach, so individuals with a history of gastric ulcers or gastrointestinal bleeding, elderly individuals, and those taking it long-term may face an increased risk of gastrointestinal bleeding or ulceration, so caution is required. If gastrointestinal symptoms appear, immediate medical treatment should be sought. Individuals with active peptic ulcers or bleeding, those allergic to this medication or similar drugs, those with asthma, heart failure, severe kidney or liver impairment, pregnant women in their late stages, breastfeeding women, and patients with inflammatory bowel disease should not take this medication. Individuals with impaired kidney or liver function, heart failure, hypertension, a history of asthma, elderly individuals, etc. should take this medication with special caution, and regular check-ups may be necessary as needed. This medication may cause side effects such as dizziness, gastrointestinal disturbances, elevated liver enzymes, skin rashes, etc. Rarely, severe blood abnormalities, hepatitis, kidney failure, cardiovascular problems, etc. may occur, so if symptoms appear, immediate consultation with a physician is required. Interactions with other medications may occur during treatment, so particularly if you are taking anticoagulants, diuretics, antihypertensives, anticancer agents, etc., you must notify your physician. Women in the last three months of pregnancy should not take this medication, and women planning to become pregnant should consult with a physician before taking it. Breastfeeding should also be avoided or breastfeeding should be discontinued if necessary. The safety and efficacy for children and adolescents have not been established, so use is not recommended. Elderly individuals are at higher risk for gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation, so extra caution is required during use. In case of overdose, symptoms such as gastrointestinal irritation, hypotension, respiratory depression, and convulsions may occur, so immediate medical attention should be sought.
