Precautions

This medication contains Ratiopharm Thioctanate, and should not be used by anyone who is allergic to this ingredient or other excipients in the medication. While taking this medication, various mild side effects may occur, including sensory disturbances, pain, headaches, constipation, dry mouth, and cough. Serious side effects such as nephrolithiasis may occur rarely, so you should consult a doctor immediately if abnormal symptoms arise. If you consume alcohol frequently, the therapeutic effect of this medication may be reduced, so diabetic neuropathy patients should especially avoid alcohol consumption. This medication can decrease the effectiveness when taken with preparations containing iron, magnesium, calcium, or milk, so the timing of meals and doses should be adjusted. Also, when taken together with insulin or other hypoglycemic agents, there is a risk of hypoglycemia, so blood sugar levels should be monitored frequently, and dosage adjustments may be necessary. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should use this medication only after carefully considering the benefits and risks under a doctor's guidance. It is safest not to use this medication in children under 18 years of age, as there is no experience with its use in this population. In case of overdose, serious poisoning symptoms may occur, and immediate hospital care should be sought; self-treatment is risky. This medication should be stored in a tightly sealed container to prevent air from entering and kept at room temperature between 1 °C and 30 °C. Therefore, avoid extremely hot or cold places and store it in an appropriate temperature-maintaining environment.
