Improvement of epithelial disorders of the conjunctiva (endogenous and exogenous)
This medication is used to treat epithelial disorders of the conjunctiva caused by endogenous diseases such as Sjögren's syndrome, sicca syndrome (Stevens-Johnson syndrome), and dry eye syndrome, as well as epithelial disorders due to exogenous causes such as postoperative conditions, drug use, trauma, and contact lens wear.
Instill 1 drop 5 to 6 times a day. Adjust dosage appropriately according to symptoms.
This medication is an eye drop made with sodium hyaluronate. It should not be used by patients who have an allergy or hypersensitivity to protein-based medications. While using, symptoms such as eyelid itching, eye irritation, conjunctivitis, congestion, and corneal damage may occur. If such symptoms arise, use should be discontinued immediately, and medical attention must be sought. Additionally, caution is advised as eye discharge or eye pain may occur rarely. If allergic reactions such as blepharitis or dermatitis appear, use must be stopped, and appropriate treatment should be received. When used in conjunction with other eye drops such as steroids, antibiotics, or glaucoma treatments, adverse reactions may occur more frequently, so caution is advised when combining. This medication should not be used simultaneously with other eye drops; if necessary, it should be administered with a 30-minute interval. This medication is only intended for use in the eyes, and caution must be taken to avoid letting the tip of the container touch the eyelids or eyelashes. For single-use products, the first 1-2 drops should be discarded to prevent contamination or debris. After opening, any remaining medication should not be stored but discarded immediately and should not be shared with others. Store in a cool place out of the reach of children and avoid direct sunlight. Moreover, transferring the medication to another container is to be avoided due to the risk of quality degradation and misuse.
