Improvement of nail and hair growth disorders
Deficiency of biotin can lead to growth obstacles in nails, toenails, and hair. This medication is used to improve growth disorders resulting from such biotin deficiency.
1 tablet once daily, taken before meals
This medication should not be taken by individuals who are allergic to this drug or any of its ingredients. Additionally, infants under 3 months of age should not use this medication. Since this medication contains lactose, patients with a genetic problem of lactose intolerance should avoid taking it. It is advisable not to consume raw egg whites while taking this medication, as raw egg whites may bind with this medication and reduce its efficacy. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding must consult with a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication, as sufficient studies have not been conducted on its safety during pregnancy, and the drug may be transmitted to the infant through breast milk. Patients taking anticonvulsants should consult their physician, as biotin levels may decrease in the blood when taken with this medication. Patients on antibiotics should also be cautious, as antibiotics may reduce the bacteria in the intestines that produce biotin and affect the efficacy of this medication. If unusual reactions such as hives or gastrointestinal disturbances occur, the medication should be discontinued immediately and a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted. This medication should be taken strictly according to the prescribed dosage and administration, and the dosage should not be changed or stopped arbitrarily. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, in a place avoiding direct sunlight, and in a cool and dry environment. Moreover, it is important not to transfer the medication to another container to maintain its quality.
