Precautions
This medication should not be taken by patients with hypercalcemia (too much calcium in the blood), sarcoidosis (a systemic inflammatory disease of unknown cause), or those with kidney disease. Furthermore, individuals who have allergic reactions to this medication or its components should not use it. Babies under 12 months of age and patients with kidney stones or severe kidney failure symptoms should also avoid taking this medication. It contains lactose, so those with lactose intolerance or related genetic disorders should not take it. It is recommended to avoid taking phosphate, calcium salts, oral tetracycline antibiotics, antacids, and drugs like levodopa during the course of this medication. Before taking, individuals under 1 year of age, patients currently undergoing treatment, children who receive a lot of sunlight and have a normal diet, pregnant women or women who may become pregnant, nursing mothers, premature infants, and toddlers must consult with a doctor or pharmacist. Those with a history of peptic ulcers, chronic colitis, heart or circulatory diseases, kidney disorders, hypoproteinemia, or kidney stones should also seek advice from a specialist. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, gastrointestinal discomfort, skin rashes, arrhythmia, central nervous system disorders, hair loss, hypotension, pulmonary edema, menstrual irregularities, or prolonged bleeding occur during treatment, it is essential to stop taking the medication immediately and consult a specialist. Special caution is required when using estrogen-containing oral contraceptives due to an increased risk of thrombosis. Prolonged intake of high doses of pyridoxine may cause nerve damage, and high doses of vitamin B12 may result in hematological abnormalities. High dose use can exacerbate peptic ulcers, cause glucose metabolism disorders, hyperuricemia, liver damage, and symptoms of nausea, edema, and congestive heart failure may occur. Specifically, caution should be taken when used with aldosterone antagonists or triamterene due to the risk of hyperkalemia. If overdosage occurs or symptoms do not improve after one month of use, consult a specialist. This medication must be taken as prescribed, and supervision by a guardian is necessary when administering it to children. Additionally, this medication may turn urine yellow, affecting test results; please keep this in mind. It is advisable to avoid tea containing tannins, such as green tea or black tea, during or before and after taking this medication. When storing this medication, keep it in a tightly closed container away from children's reach, avoid direct sunlight, and store it in a cool, dry place. For quality preservation, it is safer not to transfer the medication to another container.
