1. Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis: Take 250-500 mg of naproxen orally twice a day (every 12 hours). 2. Acute gout: Take 750 mg as a loading dose orally and then take 250 mg every 8 hours until the attack subsides. 3. Musculoskeletal disorders, postoperative pain, pain after tooth extraction, dysmenorrhea, tendinitis, bursitis: Take 500 mg of naproxen as a loading dose orally, followed by 250 mg every 6-8 hours, not exceeding a total daily dose of 1250 mg. 4. Migraine: Take 750 mg of naproxen orally as a loading dose. If necessary, an additional 250-500 mg can be taken daily after 30 minutes of the loading dose, not exceeding a total daily dose of 1250 mg. Adjust according to age and symptoms.

This medication is primarily used for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, tendinitis, acute gout, and dysmenorrhea. It is also effective for alleviating various types of pain such as bursitis, muscle strains or sprains, postoperative pain, migraines, and pain after tooth extraction. Therefore, it helps improve inflammation and pain related to joints and muscles.

How to take

Adult dose

1. Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis: Take 250-500 mg of naproxen orally twice a day (every 12 hours). 2. Acute gout: Take 750 mg as a loading dose orally and then take 250 mg every 8 hours until the attack subsides. 3. Precautions

This medication poses a risk of gastrointestinal bleeding if taken regularly by individuals who consume more than three drinks a day, so it is essential to consult a doctor or pharmacist. This medication may increase the risk of cardiovascular complications such as myocardial infarction or stroke in patients with cardiovascular disease or risk factors, so caution is necessary. Severe gastrointestinal issues such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, or perforation can occur, therefore elderly patients or those with a history of gastrointestinal disease should take this medication with caution. Patients with a history of peptic ulcers, severe blood abnormalities, liver impairment, heart failure, kidney impairment, hypertension, or drug allergies should not take this medication. Patients with a history of peptic ulcers, blood abnormalities, tendency for bleeding, liver and kidney dysfunction, heart dysfunction, hypertension, history of allergies, asthma, autoimmune diseases, and elderly individuals should use this medication cautiously. Various side effects such as allergic reactions, gastrointestinal bleeding, blood disorders, liver and kidney dysfunction, neurological issues, skin reactions, auditory and visual disturbances may occur, so if any abnormal symptoms arise, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor. Use this medication at the minimum effective dose and for the shortest duration possible, and regular blood and hepatic and renal function tests are necessary when treating chronic diseases. Do not take this medication with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), and consult a doctor as concomitant use with certain medications may increase the risk of side effects. It should be avoided during pregnancy, particularly in the late stages, as it may be harmful to the fetus; nursing women are also advised against using this medication. It is advisable not to administer to infants under 2 years of age as safety has not been established, and elderly individuals should start with a low dose due to an increased risk of side effects. In the case of overdose, symptoms may include drowsiness, indigestion, and vomiting, so prompt medical attention should be sought for appropriate treatment. This medication should be kept out of the reach of children and care should be taken not to transfer it to another container.

Drug interactions

This medication should not be taken with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, naproxen derivatives, or high doses of methotrexate. Phenytoin anticonvulsants, sulfonamides, sulfonylurea-based hypoglycemic agents, propranolol and other beta-blockers, ACE inhibitors (such as captopril), loop diuretics and thiazide diuretics, probenecid, aspirin, lithium, low-dose methotrexate, and coumarin-based anticoagulants (such as warfarin)...
