Prevention of cisplatin-induced neuropathy
This medication is used to prevent neurological disorders that may occur in patients receiving cisplatin or similar chemotherapy.
In severe cases, 600-1200 mg intramuscular or intravenous drip daily. In cases of treatment over several days or minor cases, 300-600 mg intramuscular or intravenous drip daily.
This medication may rarely cause severe allergic reactions such as anaphylaxis, so it is important to closely monitor for any unusual symptoms during administration. If symptoms such as facial pallor, low blood pressure, or irregular pulse occur, the drug administration should be stopped immediately. Additionally, hypersensitivity reactions such as skin rashes may rarely arise, so it is crucial to cease taking the medication if these symptoms occur. Gastrointestinal issues may lead to decreased appetite, nausea, vomiting, or abdominal pain, so these symptoms must also be monitored closely. When preparing the medication, it should be used immediately after dissolving the vial, as the effectiveness may decrease over time. When administering by intramuscular injection, it should be injected carefully, avoiding nerves or blood vessels, and repeated injections at the same site should be avoided, especially in children or infants. This medication should be stored in a safe place out of reach of children. Transferring the drug from its original container to another may increase the risk of misuse or deteriorate the drug quality, so it is important to keep it in its original container and tightly close the lid for storage.
Rarely occurring symptoms of anaphylaxis (severe allergic reactions)
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
This medication should be stored in a sealed container to prevent exposure to air or moisture. It is recommended to maintain the storage temperature between 1°C and 30°C room temperature. This will help preserve the medication's effectiveness for a longer period.
