Precautions

This medication contains R-Lipoic Acid-Trimethylamine Salt, and patients allergic to this ingredient or similar substances should not use it. During the use of this medication, side effects such as sensory abnormalities, pain, headache, constipation, and dry mouth may occur. Most are mild to moderate symptoms, and although serious side effects are rare, severe issues like kidney stones can occur. Rarely, symptoms of indigestion, nausea, skin rash, hives, and hypoglycemia can appear, and if these occur, a doctor should be consulted. This medication may worsen nerve damage symptoms when taken with alcohol, so it's advisable to avoid alcohol consumption during the treatment period and breaks. Additionally, this medication may reduce its effectiveness when taken with foods or medications containing certain metal components (e.g. iron, magnesium, milk), so the timing of ingestion should be adjusted. For diabetic patients, there is a risk of very low blood sugar when taken with insulin or other hypoglycemic agents, so blood sugar should be frequently monitored, and medication dosages should be adjusted if necessary. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should thoroughly consult a doctor before using this medication, and it is not recommended for children under 18 due to safety concerns. In case of overdose, immediate medical attention is required, as severe symptoms such as loss of consciousness, seizures, and hypoglycemia may occur, requiring caution. Finally, this medication should not be stored at temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius, and should be kept in a safe place out of reach of children. Also, it is advised not to transfer the medication to other containers as it can compromise its quality.
