Nutritional improvement through trace element supply
Administering trace elements alongside intravenous nutrition is very important for maintaining a balanced nutritional status in patients. Trace elements play an essential role in the body's metabolic functions, and deficiencies can lead to various complications. Therefore, supplying appropriate trace elements during intravenous nutrition helps prevent nutritional imbalances and assists in overall health recovery. This treatment is especially crucial for patients with long-term hospitalization or digestive disorders. The supply of trace elements promotes the balance of essential nutrients in the patient's body, facilitating recovery.
If the daily basic requirement for trace elements is needed or if the daily requirement is moderately increased, administer 10mL per day. This medication must be diluted before administration.
For children weighing 15kg or more, administer 0.1mL per kg of body weight per day. This medication must be diluted before administration.
This medication must be diluted before administration and should be used according to a physician's instructions. It should not be administered to patients with hypersensitivity to this medication or its components, those with bile duct obstruction, patients with zinc toxicity, patients with iron overload or impaired iron utilization, patients with copper accumulation, and patients with elevated plasma levels of the trace elements included in this medication. Patients with abnormalities in biliary or renal function resulting in significantly altered excretion of trace elements, patients with liver failure, patients receiving intravenous nutrition for more than 4 weeks, and neonates and children should be administered cautiously, with regular monitoring of blood trace element levels and liver function in such cases. Although no adverse reactions from the trace elements included in this medication have been reported, superficial thrombophlebitis may occur when administered as an addition to glucose injection, and localized reactions to iodine may appear upon local application. For continuous administration for more than 4 weeks, liver function and manganese levels must be measured, and if manganese levels rise, administration should be discontinued due to the risk of toxicity. Caution is necessary for patients with renal or liver function abnormalities due to the risk of accumulation of trace elements in the body. In chronic iron overload patients, side effects such as hyperserum should be expected, and care should be taken to selectively correct specific trace element deficiencies. This medication should only be administered to pregnant or potentially pregnant women when the therapeutic benefits outweigh the risks, and safety has not been established in nursing mothers, necessitating cessation of breastfeeding or discontinuation of the medication. This medication may be added to glucose injection; however, it must not be administered with solutions for which compatibility has not been confirmed, and dilution must be performed aseptically. It should be used immediately after dilution, and any remaining diluted solution should be discarded if not used within 24 hours after mixing.
Superficial thrombophlebitis, hypersensitivity to iodine
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
