Precautions

This medication should be discussed with a doctor or pharmacist before use by individuals who regularly consume more than three drinks a day due to the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. Those with cardiovascular diseases or risk factors may experience serious cardiovascular issues such as myocardial infarction or stroke while taking this medication. Thus, both the physician and the patient should carefully monitor any cardiovascular symptoms and take immediate action if they arise. This medication can cause serious gastrointestinal adverse reactions such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforation, especially in the elderly, with the risk increasing the longer it is taken. Therefore, immediate evaluation and treatment are needed if gastrointestinal symptoms occur. If an allergic reaction to this medication occurs, it can progress to severe chest pain associated with allergic heart problems, so caution is advised. The injectable ampule may contain glass fragments, so extreme care should be taken when cutting the container, especially when administering to children or the elderly. This medication contains benzyl alcohol, which can cause life-threatening respiratory issues in premature infants, warranting caution. Patients with the following conditions should not take this medication: those with peptic ulcers, severe blood disorders, severe liver or kidney impairment, severe hypertension or heart failure, known hypersensitivity to the ingredients of this medication, previous allergic reactions to aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, patients undergoing coronary artery bypass surgery, newborns under four weeks and premature infants, congestive heart failure, and ischemic heart disease. Patients with the conditions mentioned above should be administered this medication with caution, particularly those with a history of peptic ulcers, blood disorders, liver or kidney impairment, hypertension, asthma, the elderly, and children. This medication may rarely cause various side effects such as shock, peptic ulcers, gastrointestinal bleeding, blood disorders, severe skin reactions, liver dysfunction, kidney issues, hypersensitivity, neurological abnormalities, visual and auditory disturbances, and blood pressure fluctuations. If these symptoms arise, administration should be stopped immediately, and consultation with healthcare professionals is necessary. This medication should be used for the shortest duration and at the minimum effective dose possible, and regular blood tests along with liver and kidney function tests are necessary for long-term use. Patients at higher risk for gastrointestinal bleeding, including those with hypertension and heart failure, should be monitored closely for blood pressure and fluid status during treatment. This medication can interact with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, digoxin, corticosteroids, antihypertensives, diuretics, aspirin, lithium, methotrexate, and warfarin, so caution is advised when combining with these medications. In pregnancy, particularly in late pregnancy, the use of this medication should be avoided as it can have serious effects on the fetus, and minimum doses for the shortest duration are recommended during pregnancy. During breastfeeding, this medication may be transmitted into breast milk, potentially causing adverse reactions in infants, hence breastfeeding should be avoided or medication administration should be discontinued.
