Child dose
Experience with the use of this medication in children and adolescents (under 18 years of age) is lacking, so the combination of Losartan-Hydrochlorothiazide is not administered to children and adolescents.

How to take

Adult dose

The usual dose for this medication is one tablet containing Losartan Potassium 50 mg / Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg, taken once daily. A dose exceeding Losartan Potassium 100 mg / Hydrochlorothiazide 25 mg per day is not recommended. If blood pressure cannot be controlled, begin treatment with one tablet of Losartan Potassium 50 mg / Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg once daily, and if blood pressure is still uncontrolled after three weeks, the maximum dose can be increased.

Child dose

Precautions

This medication may cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, so it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Abdominal pain, swelling/edema, palpitations, back pain, dizziness, cough, sinusitis, upper respiratory infection, weakness/fatigue, diarrhea, nausea, headache, bronchitis, pharyngitis, angioedema (including swelling of lips and eyelids and facial rash), chest pain, facial swelling, fever, orthostatic hypotension, fainting, angina, arrhythmia (including atrial fibrillation, sinus bradycardia, tachycardia, ventricular tachycardia, ventricular fibrillation), hypotension, myocardial infarction, secondary atrioventricular block, anorexia, constipation, toothache
