Dobra Tablet 250 mg (Dobesilic Acid Calcium Hydrate)

Adult dose

Adults: Administer the following doses of calcium dobesilate hydrate orally. 1. Vascular damage and retinopathy: 500~1000mg per day 2. Venous disease: Administer 750mg per day for 1~3 weeks, then administer 500mg per day. Take after meals with plenty of fluids. The dose may be adjusted according to age and symptoms.

This medication should not be used in certain patients. It should not be taken by individuals who are allergic to this medication or its components. Additionally, this medication contains lactose, so it should not be administered to individuals with genetic disorders that prevent lactose breakdown. Use with caution in patients with impaired kidney function. Since this medication is excreted through the kidneys, dosage may need to be reduced in cases of severe renal impairment. Caution is also necessary in patients with liver dysfunction, as use in these patients may increase liver enzyme levels, necessitating close monitoring of their condition. This medication contains sodium bisulfite, which may cause allergic reactions, particularly in asthmatic patients, who may experience such reactions more frequently. While taking this medication, there is a rare risk of serious side effects, such as a decrease in blood cell counts. If symptoms of infection occur, such as high fever, mouth sores, or sore throat, immediate consultation with a physician is required and blood tests may be necessary. Additionally, this medication may cause severe allergic reactions, such as anaphylaxis, so it should be discontinued immediately if any allergic symptoms develop. Common side effects may include headaches, abdominal pain, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, joint pain, and muscle pain. If these symptoms are severe, dosage may need to be reduced or the medication temporarily discontinued. Use of this medication during pregnancy is not recommended, and it is advisable to avoid taking it while breastfeeding. If necessary, treatment or breastfeeding should be discontinued. There is insufficient research on the safety and efficacy of this medication in children. While there are no special precautions for the elderly, kidney and liver function status should be considered. This medication may affect the results of some clinical tests, so it is advisable to inform your physician or testing personnel prior to any testing.
