This medication contains two components, Amlodipine and Atorvastatin, and is used to treat hypertension and angina while reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Amlodipine works by dilating blood vessels to improve blood flow to the heart, effectively treating hypertension and stable or variant angina, and reducing hospitalization risk in patients with coronary artery disease who do not have heart failure. Atorvastatin improves hypercholesterolemia and helps lower the risk of cardiovascular diseases such as myocardial infarction, stroke, complications after vascular surgeries, congestive heart failure, and angina. Additionally, it regulates lipid levels in patients with various types of dyslipidemia to protect cardiovascular health. Therefore, this medication is used for treatment and prevention in patients with different cardiovascular diseases and dyslipidemia.
