Adult dose

This medication is taken once daily regardless of meals. The dosage range is 10/5 mg to 10/20 mg daily, with a recommended initial dose of 10/5 mg daily. For patients requiring more LDL cholesterol reduction, the dosage can be adjusted. After starting the treatment or adjusting the dosage, blood lipid levels should be checked at intervals of at least 4 weeks to adjust the dosage accordingly, up to a maximum of 10/20 mg daily.

This medication can cause serious muscle problems, so if symptoms such as muscle pain or weakness occur, you must consult a doctor immediately. Especially, patients with severe infections, hypotension, after major surgeries, or with impaired renal function may need to temporarily discontinue this medication. Patients with allergies to any components of this drug or with liver diseases, muscle diseases, or severe renal impairment should not take it. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, as well as breastfeeding women, should not take this medication. Alcoholics or patients with poor liver function should take this medication cautiously and should have regular liver function tests. This drug poses a risk of muscle damage, so if severe muscle pain or weakness occurs, you should inform your doctor and, if necessary, confirm muscle condition with a blood test. It may interact with other medications, so if you are currently taking any other medications, you must inform your healthcare provider. Caution is advised when driving or operating machinery as dizziness may occur. Children, especially those under 10 years of age, are not recommended due to insufficient safety and effectiveness data. Elderly patients are at a higher risk of muscle issues, so caution is necessary when taking this medication. In case of overdose, you should visit a medical institution immediately for appropriate treatment, and you should have regular checks on liver and muscle conditions. Keep this medication out of reach of children, and it is advisable not to transfer it to another container.

Serious side effects

Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe rash with high fever, blisters, peeling skin, pain in mouth/eye mucous membranes, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attack, respiratory irregularities with cough + fever, yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice), severe fatigue, sudden and severe headache, thunderclap headache, seizures, altered consciousness, visual disturbances, paralysis, urination
