Improvement and treatment of type 2 diabetes (blood glucose control)
This medication is administered as an adjunct to diet and exercise in order to help control blood glucose in patients with type 2 diabetes. It can be used alone, and if there is no improvement in blood glucose levels after using other oral hypoglycemic agents, it can be prescribed in combination with sulfonylureas, metformin, or insulin. Additionally, it is important for patients with type 2 diabetes to engage in nutritional counseling, weight loss, and regular exercise to continuously improve the effectiveness of both initial treatment and medication therapy. This medication is used to effectively improve blood glucose control in patients with type 2 diabetes.
This medication is taken orally once daily regardless of meals. 1. Monotherapy This medication can be started at a dose of 15 mg once daily, and can be increased to 30 mg once daily if necessary. 2. Combination therapy - When used in combination with sulfonylureas, 15 mg is administered once daily. - When used in combination with metformin, 15 mg is administered once daily. - When used in combination with insulin, 15 mg is administered once daily.
There is no experience in using this medication in patients under the age of 18; therefore, its use is not recommended.
This medication is used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. During the course of treatment, attention should be paid to heart function. In particular, congestive heart failure may worsen, so if symptoms such as sudden weight gain, shortness of breath, or leg swelling occur, medical advice should be sought immediately. Patients with heart failure or a history of heart failure should not take this medication. This medication can cause fluid retention, potentially leading to swelling, so any symptoms of swelling should be reported to a healthcare provider. Furthermore, this medication should not be administered to patients with bladder cancer or a history of bladder cancer. If symptoms such as pain during urination, hematuria, or urinary urgency occur, medical attention must be sought immediately. Patients with poor liver function or severely impaired kidney function should also avoid this medication. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should consult a physician before taking this medication, and premenopausal women are advised to use appropriate contraception as the risk of pregnancy may increase while taking this medication. There is an increased risk of hypoglycemia when this medication is taken with other diabetes medications, so careful monitoring for hypoglycemic symptoms is essential, and adjustments to the doses of other medications may be necessary. Regular monitoring of blood glucose levels, liver function tests, etc., should be performed while taking this medication, and any symptoms indicating weight gain, swelling, or liver damage (fatigue, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, jaundice, etc.) should be reported to a physician immediately. Elderly patients or those with impaired liver or kidney function should exercise extra caution when taking this medication and should follow their physician’s instructions. In cases of overdose, no specific symptoms may be present, but if overdose is suspected, immediate medical attention should be sought. The safety and efficacy of this medication have not been established in children, so it is not recommended for patients under the age of 18. Store this medication out of the reach of children and keep it in the original container. During treatment, it is essential to adhere strictly to the prescribed method and dosage, and in case of a missed dose, avoid taking double the dose at the next intake.

This medication should be stored in a container that is well protected from light and air, and a humid environment should be avoided. The storage temperature should be maintained between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius.
