This medication is used to improve symptoms in patients with moderate to severe Alzheimer's disease.

How to take

Adult dose

This medication is taken orally once a day and should be administered at the same time every day. If necessary, it may be taken twice a day. Dose escalation: The maximum daily dose is 20mg, and to minimize the risk of adverse reactions, the dose should be increased by 5mg weekly for the first 3 weeks. - First week (Day 1-7): 5mg once daily - Second week (Day 8-14): 10mg once daily - Third week (Day 15-21)

Precautions

This drug should not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to the ingredients, severe liver dysfunction, or severe kidney impairment. It should be administered with caution in patients with epilepsy or a history of seizures, and in patients taking NMDA antagonists. Patients with conditions that may increase urinary pH should be monitored closely, and caution is needed in patients with heart disease or uncontrolled hypertension. While taking this medication, side effects such as dizziness, headache, constipation, drowsiness, and hypertension may occur, so symptoms should be closely monitored.
