This medication is used to effectively lower the blood pressure of patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not sufficiently controlled with monotherapy of either amlodipine or telmisartan.

How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dosage is one tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is advised to take it at the same time every day (e.g., in the morning). 40/5 mg is administered to patients whose blood pressure is inadequately controlled with 5 mg of amlodipine or 40 mg of telmisartan. 80/5 mg is administered to patients whose blood pressure is inadequately controlled with 5 mg of amlodipine or this drug 40/5 mg.

Child dose

The safety and efficacy of this medication have not been established in pediatric patients under 18 years, and its use is not recommended.

Precautions

This medication can cause severe harm to the fetus, especially during the second and third trimesters; therefore, it should not be taken by pregnant women. This medication is contraindicated in individuals with allergies to the active ingredients or similar medications, as well as in pregnant or breastfeeding women, and patients with severe liver or heart issues. Patients with impaired liver function or obstructive biliary disease should use this medication with caution and may require dosage adjustment.
