This eye drop is used to prevent postoperative inflammation that may occur during cataract surgery, miosis during the procedure, and cystoid macular edema that may occur during the process of lens removal and artificial lens insertion. It is also effective for the treatment of non-infectious anterior segment inflammation such as chronic conjunctivitis or inflammation occurring after trauma. This medication plays a crucial role in reducing postoperative complications and alleviating eye inflammation symptoms, thus aiding recovery. Therefore, this eye drop is widely used for cataract surgery-related issues and anterior segment inflammation treatment.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients who are allergic to its ingredients. Especially, patients who experience asthma or allergic symptoms after using aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should be cautious when using this medication. It is safe not to use this medication for pregnant women after six months of pregnancy. Patients with a history of allergy or hypersensitivity to aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should use it cautiously. This medication may delay wound healing and can rarely cause nausea or vomiting. Occasionally, allergic reactions such as asthma, itching, and acute rhinitis may occur. Transient eye irritation, redness, dryness, pain, and blurred vision may occur as side effects. Severe issues such as corneal ulcers or perforations may arise, so if unusual symptoms appear, use should be stopped immediately and medical attention should be sought. Contact lens wearers should remove lenses before instilling this medication and may reinsert them 15 minutes after instillation. Temporary blurred vision may occur after administration, so driving or operating machinery should be avoided until vision is clear. This medication may mask symptoms of eye infections, so it should be used in conjunction with appropriate treatment if there is a risk of infection. Patients at risk of bleeding or those taking medications to prevent bleeding should be cautious as this medication may exacerbate bleeding. When using with other eye drops, it is advisable to instill at least a 5-minute interval. After instilling this medication, occluding the nasolacrimal duct or closing the eyes may reduce systemic absorption and decrease side effects. It contains a preservative called benzalkonium chloride that may discolor soft contact lenses or cause eye inflammation. Use of this medication with certain other eye drops may result in precipitation, so co-administration should be avoided. In the early and mid-stages of pregnancy, it should only be used at the minimum dose for a short duration if necessary, and not used after six months of pregnancy. Breastfeeding women should avoid use as it may be transmitted through breast milk. Safety in pediatric patients has not been adequately confirmed, so it should be used cautiously in children. For ocular use only; should not be injected directly into the eye. Avoid contact of the opening of the container with the eye, and avoid sharing to prevent contamination. Store out of reach of children, away from direct sunlight, in a cool and dry place. After opening, use within one month and discard any remaining contents.
